Welcome to Le Moussaillon Campsite in Messanges, a small village near Hossegor, in the south-west of the Landes of Gascony region.
The campsite is ideally located, has 140 camping pitches and extends over nearly 3 hectares. It is located 300 m from the centre of Messanges, a 25 minute walk, 15 minute bike ride or 5 minute drive (by bus or car) from the beach. Chance to escape to the forest with direct access from far end of campsite.
It’s ideal if you’re looking for peace and quiet. Camper-vans are welcome and you can explore the region by bike on the cycle paths that connect the surrounding villages.
In the south of the Landes, not far from the Basque Country and the Pyrenees, we’re lucky to enjoy a climate that’s ideal for camping, with plentiful sunshine and warm temperatures for much of the year.
But our pool is one that can be used either covered or uncovered so that preseason, or on a day that happens to be a little cooler, you can still enjoy fun in the water in a large covered pool that’s nice and warm!

Where to find a campsite with entertainment and activities in Messanges, on the Southern French Atlantic coast ?
There is something for everyone; children and teenagers can forge connections with others in the playground or games.
Jumping, turning, rolling, hiding, pedalling, fishing, talking, sharing and tasting; these are the words that will best describe their holidays.
Campsite Le Moussaillon in Messanges (dept. 40) is a friendly family campsite, perfect for children where they will make many friends. An open air playground (slide, roundabout, coil spring toys), games room, roller skates, bikes, kick scooter, skating, Ping-Pong, petanque… are among activities they can and have fun with during their stay at the campsite.
Teenagers can play table football at the campsite, but they can also go to the City Park situated at 200 metres, the tennis courts at 300 metres or the Hybrid library at 600 metres from the campsite. These activities are really nearby and will surely meet their expectations
The Landes coast is also a surfing region: close to the campsite in Messanges, discover a surf club in the Landes with an original and inspiring method.
You will love campsite Le Moussaillon for its tranquillity, its safety and walks: 3 kilometre-hikes around the lake of Moïsan, or go for a walk in the woods situated right behind the campsite.
The campsite is a quiet place with just a few activities organized during the summer.
All roads lead to Messanges and getting to the campsite is child's play. During your stay, you can also take advantage of free buses to reach the beaches of the region, but if you are under 25, you can also take advantage of the TER offer for a very low price.

Le Moussaillon snack bar serves traditional fast food as well as hot meals to take away, eat on site or enjoy in your chalet or back at your camping pitch.
There is a washing machine available in one of the sanitary block. We will do our utmost for you to have a wonderful stay.
A free shuttle bus will take you to the beaches of Messanges, Vieux-Boucau and Souston. The campsite Le Moussaillon is situated close to all shops, close to a tennis court, to entertainment area and nearby the archery field.
City Parc is a real fun amusement park. The community swimming pool can be found at only 300 meters.
